Course Description

Monday 25 May 2026 – Legislative Context and PAS 9980 Framework

Day 1 focuses on the historical and regulatory drivers shaping current external wall system requirements.  It covers the evolution of fire safety legislation, legal duties, and the introduction and application of PAS 9980, including when a FRAEW is required and how the five-step process is implemented in practice.

Tuesday 26 May 2026 – Fire Performance, Façade Design and Risk Outcomes

Day 2 builds on the PAS 9980 framework by examining fire performance factors, façade configuration, material behaviour, and fire and rescue service intervention.  The sessions explore how design, materials, testing evidence, and operational considerations influence fire risk outcomes, supported by practitioner discussion and real-world challenges.  Please find below the joining instructions for each day.
