Description

The Stroke Research Team and Applied Health Research hub warmly invite you to their upcoming “Transforming Stroke Care” Conference to be held at the University of Lancashire.

Stroke remains a leading cause of disability and mortality in the UK.  The Transforming Stroke Care Conference brings together health and care professionals, researchers, patients, carers, and commercial partners to share innovation and accelerate improvements in stroke care.

What makes this conference distinctive is its multidisciplinary focus, reflecting the real-world complexity of stroke care.  Our programme includes talks about pre-hospital decision-making through to long-term recovery and participation, whilst exploring patient perspectives and carer support.  These talks will be delivered by distinguished speakers who are leaders in their fields.

Hear Professor Liz Lightbody talk about COMMITS - The UK’s largest trial of psychological support to help people adjust to and thrive in life with stroke.

Early and mid-career researchers will have the opportunity to present posters, reviewed by senior academics, with prizes awarded for outstanding work.

Lunch, refreshments and conference materials will be provided.
